Quintessence Biotech is a Paris-based deep-tech company on a mission to remove the manufacturing bottleneck that keeps cell and gene therapies out of reach for most patients. Today, fewer than 1% of eligible patients actually receive these treatments, not because the science isn't ready, but because production cannot scale. Born from the Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes (IPGG), Quintessence has developed DACS™, a first-of-its-kind "living" artificial cell built on lipid droplet science and designed to replace conventional bead-based technologies for bioseparation and cell activation. Fully compatible with existing workflows, DACS™ delivers up to 10x higher productivity and up to 60% lower production costs, paving the way for cell therapies to move from bespoke treatments to an accessible standard of care
